14 Serial-ATA Interface (S-ATA)

The JRexplus LX has realized two S-ATA ports. Serial-ATA connections boost the data rate theoretically up

to 150 MB/sec. In addition it changes the parallel interface requiring 40 separate wires to a serial inter-

face requiring only 6 wires. A RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) configuration is possible.

14.1 Connector

The S-ATA interface is available through the standard L-type connectors X4 and X5 (7 pins).
